Diane Young moved to New Jersey in 1979 from NYC with great concern about the transition. After living in the Garden State for almost 30 years, she cannot imagine living anywhere else. As a Short Hills resident for over 20 years, Diane owned three homes, each in a different school district, so she can offer a unique perspective on the community. Having purchased and sold a number of homes for herself, she understands how stressful buying or selling a home can be. To ensure a smooth transaction she provides detailed information and guidance throughout the process to help her clients make informed and confident decisions.
Diane spent 25 years as a trader on Wall Street and was one of the first women to work on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange, for a specialist house. She left to raise her son and get involved in local volunteer work. She sat on the Executive Boards of St. Barnabas Medical Center Auxiliary, The Pingry Parents Association and was past President of the Millburn/Short Hills Home Garden Study Club. Since 1995, Diane has served as a Wish Manager for Happiness Unlimited, an organization that helps make the wishes of adult cancer patients come true. She is a member of St. Rose of Lima Church and their ladies auxiliary.
In 2001, Diane combined her Wall Street business skills, with her community experience, her people skills and love of her community to work in Real Estate. She is not only knowledgeable, but someone who genuinely cares about her clients and their concerns. Diane believes “If you ask the right questions and listen carefully to the answers, you can customize the best plan to help people meet their goals”. A skillful, detail-oriented negotiator, Diane always puts her client’s best interests first.
Since joining Towne Realty Group she has continued to successfully list, market and sell homes in Millburn, Short Hills, Maplewood, South Orange, Livingston, Summit and the surrounding areas. She recently completed the coursework to become a certified e-PRO to enhance her skills online.
